Wilson CEO Out After 30-Year Reign! The Money Man Is Now Calling the Shots.

Major Shake-Up Rocks Iconic Sports Brand as Veteran Leader Announces Shock Exit

In a stunning move that marks the end of an era, Amer Sports has announced that Joe Dudy, the long-standing President and CEO of its iconic Wilson brand, is stepping down after a remarkable 30-year tenure. The bombshell news, confirmed today, signals a major leadership transition for the company famous for its tennis racquets, basketballs, and footballs.

Dudy will officially vacate his role on August 31 to explore new opportunities, but he isn't severing ties completely. In a highly unusual arrangement, he will remain connected to the brand as a special advisor through March 1, 2026, ensuring a lengthy and stable handover period.

Stepping into the void is a surprising choice that has the industry talking. Amer Sports CFO Andrew Page has been tapped to take the helm as the interim President & CEO of Wilson. In a move signaling a long-term strategic plan, Page is slated to assume his new duties on September 1, 2025, while continuing his critical role as the parent company's Chief Financial Officer. This dual responsibility places the financial architect of Amer Sports directly in charge of one of its most legendary brands.

The hunt is now officially on for a permanent successor, with Amer Sports launching what it calls a "comprehensive search" for the next leader to guide Wilson into the future. The big question on everyone's mind is whether the company will look for an internal candidate steeped in Wilson's culture or an external disruptor to bring a fresh vision.

James Zheng, CEO of Amer Sports, was quick to pay tribute to the outgoing leader. "On behalf of the Amer Sports Executive Committee and Global Leadership Team, we want to warmly thank Joe for his many valuable contributions to Wilson and Amer Sports over the past 30 years," Zheng stated. He lauded Dudy as a "highly appreciated and respected brand leader" and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.

Despite the seismic shift at the top, Zheng expressed unwavering belief in the brand's trajectory. "We are confident in the Wilson brand and its prospects," he affirmed, seeking to reassure partners and stakeholders that the company's foundation remains solid. As the search for a new chief begins, all eyes are on Wilson to see who will be chosen to fill the massive shoes left behind by a 30-year veteran.
